Finished.

And here it is, my beautiful samper. I love it .My husband just finished hanging it. In the hallway where there is plenty of room for it.

 

 

 

I took the photo from our bedroom so the light was not too good, the left side looks darker but that is just on the photo.
Now on to finish two more tops, hehe.

Finaly done.

The last few weeks I have been busy  finishing quilts and starting something new also. I finished these three and nr 4 , the sampler is almost finished. I stitched the binding on and now I started the finishing by hand. I can't do it for a long   time because my fingers get sore
.The photo's are not so good but the quilts hang in the hallway and the light is not too good there.

Winner.

Le Moyne star.

Remember this quilt? Started it last fall. No diamonds on here.

This morning while I was looking through my books I suddenly thought about my big star quilt. I had put it away because it didn't fit at all. I did a lot of rearanging a couple of weeks ago and took the diamonds at the top off. So now it made me think again what shall I do. Leave the diamonds off or try again. I don't want to throw it away  but I still need to think :))))). Decisions.......

My new quiltbooks.

For my birthday, almost two weeks ago I got these 4 books from my family. I love quiltbooks and I have many but every time I see new interesting books I want to have them. I got three books from for me a new designer- quilter Edyta Sitar. She makes the most beautiful quilts and is very famous with her  " Laundry Basket Quilts" fabric and patterns. There are so many quilts in these books that I want to make....... oh my.
The fourth book is from one of my most favorite designers Jinny Beyer. She makes the most beautiful colored fabrics .

So now I am  "wasting"my time trying to decide what I am going to do now. It takes a lot of time. LOL. And I still have a few quilts to finish. Thank goodness I have plenty of time.....
I also got this lovely pattern from Edyta Sitar for "Laundry Basket Quilts" That will be waiting too.


Also I wanted to tell that I changed my mind about the date of the give away draw. That will be next Monday the 27th of April. The date was too far away. There are not many participating unlike my last give away so more chances for you. My husband will do the draw.

Stars.

While my three quilts are waiting for the binding I pulled out the stars  I made in between.   . I saw this quilt on the net some time ago and I liked it so much that I started making the stars soon after that. I finished 20 already and I am going to make 25 I think. Maybe more , I have to see and think how big I want it. I love the blues and gold yellows together.

 

 

Only the real yellow jumps out but the ones that look almost white are gold .

Now on to the sewingmachine.

GIVE AWAY. #2

Another prize for the winner to choose from.

There is a meter of this beautiful border fabric by Jinny Beyer. Sadly the color is not what shows on the photo. It is more turkois-green as you maybe can see on my almost finished quilt. I put it on the couch and made a photo couple of days ago. Not looking real good.LOL
 What you can do with the fabric? I did print out a page from Jinny Beyers site, how to make a placemat . Go to her site Jinnybeyer.com and have a look what she does with her borderfabrics on little videofilms. Wonderful ideas and real easy.

I have been busy quilting my third quilt yesterday so now I can put the binding on and finish all three of them. A great feeling.

I was looking through my crossstitch patterns this afternoon and I have at least 50 to choose from and all beautiful and from the best American designers. I am not sure if anybody is interested, if so I can pick some out and make a photo.
